From an old slide photo to a fresh and modern illustration, there isn't anything that quite compares. This was a photo taken by my uncle in 1988 and I always love creating homemade gifts. My task was to create a modern poster with a minimal aesthetic. Everything has to be a shape of color and with Adobe Illustrator, the process was easy. In the end I was left with a meaningful 16"x20" poster to hang on his wall as well as my own. I liked this design for a while, but my skills kept improving and that is how I got to the second version!
